Port of Kribi Plants the Seeds of Diversification with a New Agro-Industrial Terminal

The Kribi port platform is expanding its horizons and opening the way to a new activity: agro-industrial logistics.
On October 9, 2026, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) and Kribi Oil and Grain Terminal (KOGT S.A.) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the development of a terminal dedicated to the reception, storage, and transportation of agricultural and agro-industrial products.
Covering 9.20 hectares, this future integrated agro-logistics platform will include 17 silos with a total storage capacity of 102,000 tons, four warehouses of 5,000 m² each, quality control laboratories, and facilities for road transport and maintenance. It will also benefit from access to deep-water quays, enabling the reception of vessels of up to 50,000 tons.
Beyond these capacities, the project aims to make the logistics chain more efficient, from ship unloading to the distribution of goods. The goal is to streamline supplies, improve the turnaround of ships and trucks, and help operators better control costs.
To bring this ambition to life, three players are combining their strengths: PAK, which provides infrastructure and land potential; KOGT S.A., a consortium of Cameroonian, Swiss, and Turkish companies leading the industrial project; and BGFIBank Cameroon, responsible for financial structuring and coordination of funding.
The outlook for employment is also promising, with 600 to 800 jobs expected during construction, followed by nearly 200 in the operational phase, along with indirect jobs in related activities.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027, with commissioning planned for 2029, subject to the completion of procedures and financing.
With this new terminal on the horizon, the Port of Kribi continues its diversification and reinforces its ambition to become a leading port, industrial, and logistics hub in Central Africa.
